Watched PLEIN SOLEIL last night-excellent-better than the Minghella version & that was good. Shows you what a bad case of sunburn can lead to-
I think that in Minghella's film the first murder comes too late and it lacks the shocking visual poetry of PLEIN SOLEIL. I also love the ending of PLEIN SOLEIL. (I believe Patricia Highsmith disliked it.)
